Cassie is an associate editor at Science News magazine, an award-winning news publication covering important and emerging research in all fields of science.
Cassie’s reporting has brought her from a small art gallery-turned-Mars habitat in Brooklyn, New York, to the UN climate talks in Paris. Her articles have been published at Science News, Upworthy, the World Science Festival, MIT, Harvard and elsewhere.
Cassie holds a master’s degree in science journalism from Boston University. She received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, where she studied genetics and microbiology. She currently lives in Washington, D.C.
